One Day At A Time (Netflix) – Premieres 6th January – Renewed
Reboot of the ’70’s sitcom where the family consists of an ex-military nurse now working at a doctors while she looks after her two children, a idealistic 15 year daughter and vain schemer of a 12 year old son, along with having her Cuban mother live with them.
It’s the standard sitcom set up with the usual Chuck Lorre style joke every ten seconds with the incessant audience laughter, and the weird cheering when a main character pops up. Though it has the nod to it’s predecessor by throwing in a few dramatic bits where for five minutes they do an issue of the week and the crowd don’t know what to do with themselves.
That said it’ll only be of interest of fans of the original.
